Connecticut Terms of Service

Last updated December 22, 2025

As a Connecticut resident, you have additional rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (effective July 1, 2023). This page supplements our general Terms of Service with Connecticut-specific protections.

FlowLawyers (“FlowLawyers,” “we,” “us” or “our”) operates a legal-help website that includes attorney directories, legal-aid routing, state-specific legal information, and optional ways to contact participating attorneys. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using our website. This website contains attorney advertising where applicable.

Service description

FlowLawyers operates a legal-help website for people looking for attorneys, legal aid, pro bono resources, and state-specific legal information. Some attorneys may pay for advertising placement, enhanced listings, or other visibility features on the site, but FlowLawyers does not recommend or endorse a specific attorney as the right choice for your matter.

We provide the following services:

  • Collect information about your legal needs
  • Show you attorney listings and public legal-help resources based on practice area and location
  • Enable you to contact a participating attorney or law firm directly
  • Provide legal-aid routing, guided help, and public legal information tools

No attorney-client relationship

Using our website does NOT create an attorney-client relationship with FlowLawyers or any listed or participating attorney. An attorney-client relationship is only formed when:

  1. You directly contact and retain a specific attorney
  2. The attorney agrees to represent you
  3. You sign a written retainer agreement with that attorney
  4. Any required fees or retainers are paid

Do not send confidential information through our website until you have established an attorney-client relationship with a specific attorney.

Attorney advertising disclosure

This website contains attorney advertising. Attorneys may pay fees to participate in the directory or advertise on the site. This payment structure does not guarantee that any attorney will accept your case and does not create any endorsement or recommendation of specific attorneys.

The choice of an attorney is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. You should research attorneys' qualifications, experience, and track record before making a decision.

Attorney directory

Attorneys listed on FlowLawyers represent that they are licensed in their respective states. You should verify an attorney's license status with the Connecticut Bar Association before engaging their services.
