Veterans benefits are predominantly federal, administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Montana supplements federal benefits through the Montana Veterans Affairs Division, which operates the Montana Veterans' Home at Columbia Falls and Eastern Montana Veterans' Home at Glendive and administers state veterans cemeteries. Montana provides a property tax reduction for disabled veterans. The VA Health Care System of Montana (VAMC) is headquartered in Fort Harrison (Helena).
