Immigration Laws in Missouri.

All employers are prohibited from knowingly employing unauthorized aliens. Public employers and businesses with state contracts exceeding $5,000 must enroll in E-Verify. Penalties: 1st violation — business license suspended 14 days; 2nd — suspended 1 year; subsequent — permanent suspension. State contractors face 3-year debarment.

Missouri prohibits counties, cities, towns, and villages from enacting sanctuary policies. Municipalities with such policies are ineligible for state grants until repealed. No public employee may be prohibited from cooperating with federal immigration officials.

Proof of lawful presence is required for all driver's license applicants. Undocumented immigrants cannot obtain a Missouri driver's license. Asylum seekers with valid work permits are eligible.

Missouri prohibits public colleges and universities from offering in-state tuition to undocumented students, including DACA recipients. Undocumented students are charged international student rates. Missouri is one of only 6 states with this restriction.
