Illinois premises-liability law is codified in part in the Premises Liability Act at 740 ILCS 130/, which applies a reasonable-care standard to invitees and licensees. The 2-year personal-injury statute of limitations at 735 ILCS 5/13-202 applies to most premises claims, and Illinois follows modified comparative fault with a 51% bar under 735 ILCS 5/2-1116.
