Veterans benefits are predominantly federal, administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. North Dakota supplements federal benefits through the ND Department of Veterans Affairs, which administers state Veterans Service Officers, the North Dakota Veterans Home (Lisbon), and a state veterans cemetery. North Dakota offers a disabled veterans property-tax credit (Disabled Veterans Credit under N.D. Cent. Code § 57-02-08.8) with substantial reductions. The VA Healthcare System of North Dakota has facilities in Fargo and Bismarck.
