New Hampshire's Protection of Persons from Domestic Violence Act (RSA Chapter 173-B) and Stalking Act (RSA 633:3-a) provide civil protection orders. Emergency (ex parte) orders issue immediately; final orders follow a hearing and last 1 year, renewable. New Hampshire criminalizes domestic violence as a separate offense under RSA 631:2-b (2014 amendment), allowing enhanced penalties for repeat offenses. Federal firearm dispossession under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(8) applies to qualifying orders.

Victims of stalking may obtain civil protection orders under the same framework as domestic violence orders.
New Hampshire's Victims' Assistance Commission provides compensation for medical, counseling, and economic losses up to $25,000.
