Wyoming law

Civil Rights Laws in Wyoming.

Wyoming civil-rights law is anchored by the Wyoming Fair Employment Practices Act (Wyo. Stat. § 27-9-101 et seq.). The Act applies to employers with 2 or more employees — broader than federal Title VII — and covers age, sex, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, and pregnancy. Wyoming's state statute does not currently include sexual orientation or gender identity as protected categories. Wyoming's Department of Workforce Services, Labor Standards Division, administers the FEPA. Wyoming is known as "the Equality State" — it was the first U.S. jurisdiction to grant women the right to vote (1869).
