Healthcare & Benefits Laws in Wyoming.

Wyoming healthcare is regulated by the Wyoming Department of Health, the Wyoming Board of Medicine (Wyo. Stat. § 33-26), and the Wyoming Department of Insurance. Wyoming repealed its Certificate of Need program in 1989 — one of a handful of states without an active CON program. Wyoming has a distinctive medical-malpractice requirement: before suit, plaintiffs must present the claim to the Wyoming Medical Review Panel (Wyo. Stat. § 9-2-1513 et seq.) — a non-binding pre-suit screening process.
