Wrongful Death Laws in Wyoming.

Wyoming wrongful-death actions are governed by Wyo. Stat. § 1-38-101 et seq. Suit is brought by the personal representative of the decedent's estate for the benefit of statutory beneficiaries. Wyoming law permits recovery of pecuniary damages and — notably — loss of companionship, advice, counsel, society, and guidance. The statute of limitations is 2 years from the date of death (Wyo. Stat. § 1-38-102(d)).
