Veterans Legal Services Laws in Michigan.

Veterans benefits are predominantly federal, administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. VA disability compensation, pension, education benefits (GI Bill), and health care are federally governed. Michigan supplements federal benefits with a state Veterans Trust Fund, property tax exemption for 100% disabled veterans, and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) which coordinates state-level services. VA claims are handled through regional offices; Michigan's RO is in Detroit.
