Oklahoma supplements federal benefits through the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA), which operates seven State Veterans Centers (skilled nursing facilities) and state veterans cemeteries. Oklahoma offers a 100% Disabled Veterans property-tax exemption — among the most generous in the U.S. Oklahoma hosts major military installations including Fort Sill (Lawton/Comanche County), Tinker Air Force Base (Oklahoma City), Altus Air Force Base, and Vance Air Force Base.
