Vermont business law is primarily governed by Title 11 and Title 11A of the Vermont Statutes Annotated. Vermont adopted the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act and has one of the more distinctive specialty entity frameworks: the Blockchain-Based Limited Liability Company (BBLLC) authorized by 2018 Act 205. Vermont also operates a captive-insurance industry from its "Vermont Domiciled Captive Insurer" statute under 8 V.S.A. ch. 141 — Vermont is the largest captive domicile in the United States and third-largest in the world.
