Veterans Legal Services Laws in Washington.
Veterans' benefits are predominantly a federal-law practice administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under Title 38 of the U.S. Code. VA disability compensation, pension, and healthcare eligibility rules do not vary state-to-state. The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) operates Washington-specific programs, including the State Veterans' Homes and the Washington Veterans Estate Management Program. Washington is home to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Naval Station Everett, Naval Base Kitsap (the third-largest naval installation in the U.S.), and Fairchild Air Force Base (Spokane).
