Civil Rights Laws in Nevada.

Nevada's principal civil-rights statute is the Nevada Equal Rights Law (NERC), administered by the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. NERC covers employment, housing, and public accommodations. Nevada added sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes in 2011. Federal claims under § 1983, Title VII, ADA, and the Fair Housing Act remain available in Nevada federal courts. Nevada Constitutional protections include explicit religious-freedom and equal-protection guarantees.
